    To Hide Global Search:

The search feature is something OOB by DCRM. You cannot hide it, but you can prevent it from showing up any results.

    To do so,

Settings -> Administration -> System Settings

Under the General tab, see 'Set Up Search' -> 'Select entities for Categorized Search'.

Remove all selected entities, but there has to be minimum of 1 entity.

So leave some entity which you do not use.

This will ensure that no records turn up in the Global Search.

    Quick Create Button:

Here, I hope you are referring to the Quick Create form.

You want the main form to be opened up on click of '+'. Is that the ask?

If yes, go to the selected entity and turn off 'Quick Create' (see screenshot below)

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!

This is totally unsupported, and will definitely break when you patch your Dynamics system, but it's possible to alter the .ASPX pages themselves to hide those fields.  I don't have a 2015 environment to test this on, so I'll just point the general direction.

In IE, open your CRM system and press F12 to open up the dev tools.  Use the DOM inspector to find the code that surfaces the quick create button and the global search in the top bar.

BACK UP YOUR CRM SERVER FRONT-END BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE.

Log into the front-end of your CRM, open IIS, and navigate to the rood directory for CRM.  Search the ASPX pages for the code you found above.  Once you find them, comment them out and restart IIS.

Almost certainly you will have broken CRM, so restore your previous backup and don't break the system anymore.

But if you didn't break the system, very likely you will no loner have the Quick Create and Search buttons on the top bar anymore.

You are correct  this is by design you can not hide global search options however you can allow/restrict entities search from global or quick create.
