any one having knowledge on Odata Query Designer. what exactly is it?

OData query designer is to build Odata query and you can use it with your REST call in javascript. using this tool you can execute the odata query and see the results.

It is a good tool to help you build odata query.
OData Query is one of the method that you can use to query your CRM or even using odata action you can also perform CRUD.
For example you want to auto populate field based on lookup field (parent) then you can retrieve the data as well using odata.
Somehow querying odata it is difficult because you need exactly the physical name, and it is case sensitive, so using this tool you don't need to think about it.

It's a free tool that helps you to write your OData query to CRM web services using Client side code. You could also write these query manually or can use this tool. You need first install Silver-light plugin in order to use this tool because this tool is written in Silver-light.
