Hi everyone,

I have my app certified and published in AppSource with the option "Contact me". My question is: how to install this app in my sandbox environment? I understand that "Upload Extension" (Extension Management page) is used to upload PTE apps (range 50000-99999). it is right?

And then.. in Production environment?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

if you are app is in APP source then click the option contact me and then add details and then the extension would be installed it would be global deployment in environment(Production/Sandbox) . Just check the deployment status page for installation progress. You need to do global deployment in sandbox and production manually.

Please Note : Your app is in app source you cannot use Upload Extension which is PTE method to deploy in sandbox or production since it will throw error the app id is already used

    Thanks for the reply.

I completed the indicated steps but nothing appears on the deployment status page. An email arrived to the contact of the company, but I don't know how to continue. There must be something I'm missing.

    Thanks!

    Hi, unfortunately, you are right.
And in fact, this ID is exposed in AppSource's URL.

    For example: Jet Report.

    appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.jetreports|AID.jetreports|PAPPID.bec4ca36-c7fb-4110-9db5-29559cc1f84c

I've asked Microsoft about this installation method before, because it doesn't make sense. But didn't get a good answer.

So we can only protect ourselves, generally we can use activation keys, external activation Service and other solution to prevent partners or general users using your features directly.

    Hope this info will help.

    Thanks.
