Recurring Journals not able to be posted to Posted General Journals

Is there anyway to enable "Copy to Posted Jnl." checkbox on the General Journal Templates for Recurring Journals?

When I try to enable the checkbox it gives me following error: "Recurring must be equal to 'No' in Gen Journal Template: Name = Recurring Current Value is 'yes' ".

The problem is without enabling that it isn't possible to see posted recurring journals in the posted general journals screen and only place it is visible is General Ledger Entries which is far from ideal.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Ivan,

For recurring general you can check Boolean of copy to posted jnl, because recurring system posted automatically as per given frequency.

And for recurring general entries you only able to view those entries in GLE not in posted general journals.

Hope this will helpful to you.

    Thank you

Now that is has been established that Recurring Journals cannot be posted to Posted General Journals, how is it possible to get Foreign Currency information for posted recurring Journals ? I need to add this detail to a report for a client and I am not sure how to get this data without it being posted to Posted General Journals....

    Ivan,

The entry you are talking about, with Foreign Currency, did this start from a Recurring Journal and subsequently posted? If yes, the entry still resides in the General Ledger Entries table. What exactly are you trying to do? Can you give an example?

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steven

Thank you for your response. Client has posted a Bank Fee via the recurring GL Journal which has posted to Subledger and GL in USD (Their local currency is AUS) but I am unable to see where USD amount is stored, in GL Entry table only the local currency is stored. Is it stored on the subledger table, if so which table would that be?

    Example in images below:

    Many Thanks

    Ivan,

Go to the Bank Account/Ledger Entries page. Make sure the Amount and Amount$ and Currency Code is shown. Now you will see the entry in its original Currency and $ (LCY) amounts.
