I Got The Message Parameter record does not exist when trying to open account receivables parameter when i created a new legal entity ( Old Legal Entity Is working ) on same organization

any one can help solving ??

Dear Saud

I have a working Legal entity and it doesn’t have any problem but when applying a new legal entity we have an error when we are trying to open accounts Receivables- All Customers , we got the screen shot error

and when we are trying to open Accounts Receivables- SETUP - Accounts Receivables Parameters we got this error

any ideas to solve this problem and I’m asking is it related to setup of the new legal entity or something wrong on development ??

Hi, You can debug the add by adding breakpoint on add method in info class. If there is customizations then that might be the root cause.

For us the solution was to disable "Enable proper tax calculation for returns with partial quantity" in Feature management.

The 'Parameter record does not exist' error comes, because when opening the AR parameters / Auto charges forms the underlying code tries to check if Retails auto charges are in use or not; for that it tries to read the Commerce parameters (under Retail and Commerce).

As I see when you create the company during the 'Copy into legal entity' the record in the Commerce parameters is not created; therefore it tries to create it, however, if the above feature is enabled it throws an error: "cannot set 'Tax calculation behavior' setting to option other than 'Don't recalculate' when feature "Enable proper tax calculation for returns with partial quantity" is enabled".
