Adjust Inventory Cost Past

Posted on by 60

Hi Guru's,

We are using FIFO and we would like to adjust our COGS for our sold items in the past.

Is there an easy way to do this for all items in the past? We have about $150k we would like to spread out across all items.

Hi, you can use item revaluation journals to appreciate or depreciate an item.

    More details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/inventory-how-revalue-inventory

Or using Item Charge in Purchase Invoice.

Use Item Charges to Account for Additional Trade Costs:

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

What you have to do is to run item revaluation.

You can read about how to do that in my blog post here:
