Is it possible to populate the customer's contact number and other information in the case?

Hi there,
the easiest way to get this information is to use quick view form.
see here for more : www.magnetismsolutions.com/.../how-to-add-a-quick-view-form-in-microsoft-dynamics-365
Hi,
If the purpose is only to display this information to customer, you can use Quick view as suggested which will show these details based on the customer lookup, but if you want to store these information, you have to use Web API, where you need to query these information based on the customer lookup id like this: http://himbap.com/blog/?p=2874
You can download REST builder to build your query and use it in on change of the customer lookup : github.com/.../CRMRESTBuilder

Addition to Mahender's suggestion - you can create calculated field to get value from customer if you need additional fields :
here is my blog explaining that : passion4dynamics.com/.../how-to-get-value-from-a-look-or-other-related-entity-using-calculated-field-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm
Hi James2019,
In which Case form do you want to add the customer's contact number and other information?
In the main form of Case, when you add the customer on the left side, you could see the customer's contact information in the CUSTOMER DETAILS Quick View Form on the right.
If you don't have this Quick View Form in your Case form, you could refer to this article to add it.
Please note that you cannot modify customer information directly on the Quick View Form. You could only click on the customer name of the Quick View Form to enter the customer form and then modify the customer information.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Lu Hao
Hi James,
Quick view form is the best approach without writing any code
In addition if you want do using client side JS use CRMRestbulder to get code to retrieve data using API.
Please have a look below video how to use CRMRestBuilder -

Yeah i was reading that as well but i havent tried it yet. What i want to accomplish too is when i already have the customer information i can pull out that information by creating a system view that will display all the information that i need in the case form.
Here is the current form of my case.
Quick View Form
Tried to insert the form but it doesnt show the fields that i created.
Please see the current form in the case. i want to display the customer phone number and email address here and i want to put that information in a system view.
Is it because the state of the Quick View form remains as unmanaged?
Is this the correct form properties?
