Getting same entity multiple times when querying annotation "Referenced Entities"

Posted on by 108

Dear all,

Greetings. I am trying to populate all the Referenced Entities of Annotation with the help of below WEB API query. But surprisingly I am getting same entity (systemuser) multiple times. Please provide your valuable inputs on this...

<CRM URL>/EntityDefinitions(LogicalName='annotation')?select=LogicalName&$expand=ManyToOneRelationships($select=ReferencedEntity)

Thank you for the prompt help Aric. So, it means all those systemuser entities are same but differs due to different fields right?

    Hi Krishna,

This is because there are multiple references to the SystemUser Entity:

    createdby, modifiedby, modifiedonbehalfby...

Your need to filter your api if you want a particular field.

    Hope this helps.
