Trying to setup a Test environment for GP 20136

We've setup a new test server for GP 2013.  We've installed it on a Windows 2008 R2, SQL 2012 SP 1.  We have restored the production databases onto the server.  We are trying to run GP 2013 Utilities to setup the test companies.  When we try to login with sa (a different password from from prod)  we get "This login Failed.  Attempt to login again or contact your system admin.  Any thoughts of what we're missing?

Did you run the Capture Logins script on your production SQL instance to bring over user ID's? Read KB 878449 to get that script. You will also need to log into GP on the test server as 'sa' and then reset people's password. Passwords will not carry over to the new insance.

SQL 2012 installation doesn't enable Mixed Mode authentication by default. The installer has to make the selection.  Perhaps this is your problem. Here's a link to an article on how to perform this step after installation.

    Hi Anettaj!

As Harry mentioned I would verify that Mixed Mode was enabled. I have ran across this multiple times where I have to install a new instance of SQL and Dynamics GP for testing purposes. The link that he had provided explains how to correct this issue if it is the issue.

If this does not resolve the issue please let us know!
