Hi,

I'm having an issue with completing the bank reconciliation within business central. Our payments have loaded, but how do you add the bank deposits and fee amounts to business central in order to balance?

Thank you,
Ashley

The bank deposits are typically added throughout the month when you register customer payments. This is done using either the cash receipt journal, register customer payments, etc. The bank fees you can add during the bank reconciliation, more info on that - Reconcile Bank Accounts - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

Thank you for your replies, I am still working through the info, but have a follow up question. The outstanding checks are not loading when i choose the suggest lines option. how can I get this information to populate?

you need to sign up with your bank to get a bank statement export. then set up bank statement file import.
then you will be able to import it and auto populate the bank reconcile lines

The suggest lines will pull all unreconciled bank transactions posted to your bank account. Are the outstanding checks posted and is the date filter you are using for suggest lines include the date of the checks?

Also, I would not recommend using suggest lines, but rather importing a bank statement from a csv file into Business Central. I wrote a blog post how to do this - https://valentincastravet.com/create-a-bank-statement-import-format/
