Good day all.

We are using D365 F&O and have just completed a data migration exercise migrating from Nav to F&O. Our first attempt to run a TB has not worked it brings back no data. We have also attempted a snapshot which also doesn’t work. not too sure if there are batch job errors stopping the TB’s running etc (process automation doesn't appear to work) or something else. any advice where to start looking would be great

Hi,

I hope you have posted entries and can see those in posted voucher inquiry (General Ledger >> Inquiries and Reports >> Voucher transactions)

If that is correct, could you check and make sure that you have done, Rebuild--balances and Update Balances, for each dimension set. before running the Trail Balance.

These two options would have corresponding batch jobs, that needs to complete first.

Please note about a year ago Microsoft released a new feature named "Performance enhancement for general ledger dimension set balance calculation"

If you have that feature on, the Dimension set balance is calculated by Process Automation (and not by batch jobs).

it is NOT mandatory to have this performance feature on. You can still work with old batch jobs way.
