Exporting all contacts from the accounts view

Im new to the company and don't have any experience with Dynamics.  Luckily for me, most others here don't either, so I have no one to turn to for help.  I have been reading forums and articles all day and cant figure out how to export ALL contacts from the Accounts field.  I figured out how to export the Primary contact and all of the necessary fields, but some of our accounts have 4-5 active contacts in a single account.

Is there a way to export ALL of the contacts, not just the primary?

In the account record, if you click the "Contacts" navigation item on the left, it will bring up the Contacts Associated view showing all the contacts for that account. You should be able to click the Export button from there to export all contacts for the account.

There is no straight forward way to get all the primary contacts and contacts of an account in single view. In order to get list

1.Create new marketing list  ,with list type static and target as Contact.

    2. Once you saved the marketing list , Add members to the list using advanced find

First add all contacts that are primary contact in account.

This procedure will add all primary contacts to the list

    3. Add all contacts that are related to account, using advanced find

After this , you have all the required conatcts in the marketing list.

    4. Now based on this marketing list you should be able to get all contacts that are related to account as we well primary contacts of an account.

Just start from a view of Contacts rather than a view of Accounts - or am I missing something more complicated here?

Accounts and Contacts are separate records (unlike some other so-called CRM systems that munge everything into one record or try to make it look that way - Dynamics CRM lets you get to the truth and deal with the records you need to directly).

Edit: We are using Dynamics CRM 2014, not 2011 as noted in the Tags.

    Sconia25,

Unless I am missing something - here are the steps to export the contacts. Not sure why you need to use Accounts to get contacts.

Click  Contacts under 'Sales' module. Select a view Active Contacts to display all your active contacts. Export the contacts by clicking the 'Export to Excel' and follow the steps.

    Hi Sconia25,

I am not sure what you are referring to right now, but according to your question:

"I have been reading forums and articles all day and cant figure out how to export ALL contacts from the Accounts field"

"Is there a way to export ALL of the contacts, not just the primary?"

Yes, you can, so that what you have to do is exporting CONTACTS, not ACCOUNT.

You can have all contacts here and plus the Primary Contact of an Account.

You can create view or choose view and modify the columns and export to excel directly from that column, but the easier way is still using the Advanced Find view right now:

    exportallcontact4.png

And you can go to Edit Columns, add the Primary Contact from Account here:

    exportallcontact5.png

And OK, get the result and export it to excel.

    Result:

    exportallcontact6.png

    Save it.

    And open it.

But, I saw from your post, you want to show as well by Account, then you can using Advanced Find to filter All Contact by specific Account

    exportallcontact1.png

    exportallcontact2.png

Or you can go one by one from Account Form and then go to Contact associated view and Export it out.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks.
