Question about word document creation and XML mapping

We have a template that adds a lot of CRM entity data in to the word document by using the XML pane.

The problem is that since we created this template, another field was added to CRM and now we want to add that field to the template.

Obviously this new field is not available in the XML pane in word since the template created from CRM before the field was added.

Question is do we have to make a new template and add all fields again, including the new one. Or is there a way to just update the current template with the new field.

It would be very time consuming to add all the xml mapping again to new template...

The easiest way I found is to create a new template so you have the added fields to the mapping. Then copy your old template an paste it into the new one and then add your new field.
