Hi guys,

I've received a report of the use of my database and wanted to know what these tables are used for?

  • dbo.AuditBase
  • dbo.ActivityPointerBase
  • dbo.Attachment
  • dbo.LeadBase
  • dbo.LeadAddressBase

Thank you!

    • dbo.AuditBase
      • Auditbase table is used to store all records auditing information like create, update and delete
    • dbo.ActivityPointerBase
      • The activity pointer (activity) table stores any activity or task that is performed, or to be performed by a user. An activity is any action for which an entry can be made on a calendar.

Whenever you create an activity record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, a corresponding activity pointer record is created. This implies that the activity record and the corresponding activity pointer record have the same value for the ActivityId attribute. For example, if you create an Email record, the attribute values of Email.ActivityId and the corresponding ActivityPointer.ActivityId will be the same.

    • dbo.Attachment
      • Attachments received via emails are stored in ‘Attachment’ table in Organization DB in SQL server.
    • dbo.LeadBase
      • LeadeBase store all the lead record data
    • dbo.LeadAddressBase
      • This table stores 2 default address information of the lead record. For each lead crm automatically creates 2 address records and that address is stored in this table.

    Cool! Thanks!

Last question, if I want to delete records from "dbo.ActivityPointerBase" table, I find those records in the Activities entity? I mean, each table represents an entity on the CRM and I can delete records from them via UI ?

    Regards,

    Raul

activitypointer table contains data for all kind of activities like task, email, phone...

so you have to delete corresponding record activity to remove data from activitypointer table.
