Publish table to Power BI

Hello!

I am working on analyzing data from BC in Power BI. However when I am using pageinspection I find columns in a page or table (I cant tell) that I want to export to Power BI. When I publish a page as a webbservice and I connect to that webbservice using Power BI, some of the columns in the pageinspection are missing. For example there is a column that I want to use called currency_factor that I see in the pageinspection but is missing in Power BI.

When I use the pageinspection, I can see both the page name and ID but also a table name and it's ID. Is it possbile that the column that I want is in the table and not in the page that I load into Power BI? And Is it possbile to publish a single table as a webbservice?

Grateful for answers!

Best Regards
Jack

Yes, it is possible from what I've observed.  We use the Simple Object Designer, which allows you to create APIs from tables.

Hi, you need to add this column to the page before you can see this column from Power BI. Because Power BI is not connected to the table, but to this page. So the fields displayed on the page can only be seen in Power BI.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jack,
No, you cannot create the webservice for table.. please confirm if you are using an out-of-the-box page and table. Is the 'currency_factor' column a custom field added through an extension? Usually, we create a webservice of pages, and all the fields available on the page are displayed. If a field is not on the page but is available in the table, it doesn't show...
    Best Regards
