    Hi

    There is a permission with

    Name:   D365 READ

I'm sure this default permission will help you for read only mode. As you can see (in yellow) only Read permission is YES

if we give this only permission, they can access all the modules is there any other permission also required to login also.

Hi, If you only need read-only access, you can consider the following completely free solution.

Access Business Central with your Microsoft 365 license (Detail Test)

    https://yzhums.com/31710/

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

I'm glad READ permission worked for.

Someone is suggesting you BASIC permission for Login but if you give login permission then user can edit or modify some tables.

For Login you can try following permission.

    Name: LOGIN

Please verify this answer if it helps you

Means if want to give only read permsission we should not give login permission . only need Read permssion itself. am i right. so the

user can able to login and read all the data across bc with only one permission -READ?

if i need to give same permission for 3 companies in the same environment then company column should be blank. pls correct me if am wrong

You can test with only READ permission not sure about that

    AND

Yes if you leave the company column empty then this permission will be accessible for all three companies.

if am giving Read Permission, most of the cues are not coming in role centre.

total sales last day sales etc
