Getting started on connecting with 3rd party API endpoints

Hi team,

I'm completely new to Dynamics 365 and specifically to Business Central, even though I have worked with Powerapps and customer connectors in it.

We have a 3rd party finance and payment Software which exposes API endpoints (basic authentication) to get all the finance info running in it. What we are looking in to is integrating (or at initial point, to get all the transaction information pulled in to Business Central via GET APIs).

Can you kindly let me know how this can be achieved (in abstract) and some materials/links/tutorials to start on this. I'm hoping for a quick ramping up in my knowledge.

You can send a GET http request to your endpoint by using the AL HttpClient object.
