When i calculate Depreciation of Fixed Asset, Entries will be draft in Fixed Asset G/L Journals, but it doesn't open direct form there, It show error( i attached screenshot ), and while i go to Fixed Asset G/L journals through global search in assign Batch, Entries will be available, it should be open direct through when i calculate depreciation, and it is working proper in Sandbox, and i checked all set ups are proper and not missing any data, and not any customization related this.

Please check below setup Template and Batches should be in place. As per error messgae batch Name is blank
In depreciation book , Setup FA Journal Setup . It might not be configured

Add FA Journal Setup in Depreciation Book Card .

If it’s working in the sandbox but not in production, then the setups are not the same between the two environments. You’re missing the FA Journal Setup in the production environment that the post below refers to.

Thank you, your answer is right, but I did all the setup the same in Sandbox and Production, but it's only working in Sandbox, not in Production.

looks like setup is not proper.
Could you please recheck setup Template and Batches should be in place.
Based on error message batch Name is blank.
In depreciation book , Setup FA Journal Setup . It might not be configured.

    Hi

The error "The Gen. Journal Batch does not exist. Identification fields and values: Journal Template Name='ASSETS', Name=''" means that when calculating depreciation, the system cannot find the General Journal Batch with the specified Journal Template Name "ASSETS" and an empty batch name. This is why it cannot open the Fixed Asset G/L Journal entry form directly.
    1. Verify that the General Journal Batch named "ASSETS" exists and is properly set up in your Business Central environment—check the General Journals page and confirm both the template and batch are correctly created and active
    2. Ensure that your Fixed Asset Setup, specifically the Depreciation Posting Setup, points to the correct General Journal Template Name and Batch Name. Since the error shows the batch name as empty, you may need to explicitly set the Batch Name along with the Journal Template Name.
    3. Compare the setup in your working Sandbox environment with the Production environment to identify any differences in the Journal Templates, batches, or Fixed Asset Setup that might cause the missing batch.
    4. If you have no customizations, the most common cause is missing or misconfigured General Journal Batch data in the target environment.
    5. Create or assign the missing General Journal Batch "ASSETS" with a valid Batch Name in the environment where the error occurs, and make sure Fixed Asset Setup refers to this batch correctly.
In essence, the system cannot find the required General Journal Batch "ASSETS" with a valid batch name to post depreciation entries, so fixing this batch configuration will allow direct opening of entries after depreciation calculation as expected. This matches the typical cause of the error and can be fixed by reviewing and correcting journal batch and Fixed Asset setup.

    Thanks
    Nimsara
