Debit Note Numbering/Credit Note Numbering

Hi lovely people

Please help with the following. My when the chose a debit note ,the system does not generate a debit note number, it instead generates a credit number.

How do you sort it out

    Hi Thuliza

    First thing I would check is the code and numbering setup.

    Go to Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Sales > Receivables

    Click on the Options button

    Here you will see the setup for the different Receivables transactions types.

    Check the column for the Code  and the Next Number column and ensure that this is setup correctly for the debit note
