I am looking to install a solution that will allow my employees to scan out inventory when they put it on their truck. We run a pool sales & maintenance business. The crew often takes parts with them in anticipation of their needs on a maintenance or repair call. All of those parts are not making it on to invoices largely because accounting for the inventory is too tedious for the crew.
The stuff is not being stolen, it is just falling through the cracks. I want to develop an easier way for the inventory to be accounted for. My vision is that a maintenance guy gets his orders in the morning and then takes a bar code reader and goes to the warehouse to gather up what they need. First, they scan the order and then they scan each item they are taking to complete that order. At the end of the day they can scan back in anything they did not use.
Can anyone suggest a product that can fulfill my vision?
