Business Central integration with Customer Engagement

Hi,

I read that its allow integrate Business Central with Sales, but it also allow integrate with entire CRM - Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing and Project Service Automation) ??

Only standard connector is for the sales app. It is however possible to perform development to work with other CDS entities. This would be quite some effort for the other mentioned apps. If this is something that is needed faster take a look at Kingsway Soft or Azure Logic Apps.

In one project we started with the native BC - Customer Engagement integration, but once we had to sync additional entities outside the standard mappings, it became heavy to maintain. Instead of extending all the table mappings in AL, we used Skyvia to sync specific Dataverse tables with Business Central in a controlled way. You can find more details here.

That gave us clearer control over sync direction and field mapping without touching the core integration framework. For standard scenarios I still prefer native, but for cross-app or custom entity sync, using a separate layer worked better for us.

Currently, only Sales and Field Service have standard connectors; others are not yet supported.

Hi

No, the standard "out-of-the-box" integration is specifically designed only for Dynamics 365 Sales. It does not automatically sync Field Service, Customer Service, or Project Operations. When using a middle ware software you can integrate them, but you have to do it manually.
