Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement 9 - On-premise - Intune MAM and MDM with "on-premise" D365CE

Hello!

With "Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement" version 9, can we use Microsoft Intune to manage the Dynamics 365 Mobil App using Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

It seems that older versions of on-premise CRM did not support MAM or MDM, but I can't see anywhere explicitly stating that it does.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi inf,

This feature was added in 2016 and only supported the online version of Dynamics CRM at that time. You cannot use Microsoft Intune to manage Dynamics CRM 2016 On-premise for mobiles and tablets.

    Hi Adrian and experts,

    Thanks for your response.

Do we have any confirmation or any documentation stating the same ?

    Thanks,

We had the similar question and we got the below response from the Microsoft.

Intune MAM is cloud service tightly integrated with Azure AD.  Check the section

    docs.microsoft.com/.../mam-faq

Why don't On-Premises (on-prem) services work with Intune protected apps?

Intune app protection depends on the identity of the user to be consistent between the application and the Intune App SDK. The only way to guarantee that is through modern authentication. There are scenarios in which apps may work with an on-prem configuration, but they are neither consistent nor guaranteed.

Intune MDM has a on-premise version as part of "Configuration Manager" which could be explored.
