Hi all,
I have SUPER User Permissions and a Premium license and have created a new Sandbox Environment.

Our partner has asked me to grant consent but I get an error message. See screenshots:

Any idea?

The error you're seeing usually means that only a Global Administrator (in Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD) can grant delegated admin consent to third-party or partner applications—even if you have SUPER permissions in Business Central.

    ✅ Solution:

Please contact your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator and ask them to:

    1. Go to Microsoft Entra Admin Center

    2. Navigate to Enterprise Applications

    3. Locate the partner's app or consent request

    4. Grant consent under Permissions > Grant admin consent

After that, the delegated access will be properly authorized.

Granting consent to apps (like extensions or APIs) requires Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) admin privileges, not just Business Central permissions.

    Thanks

    Hi all,
I would like to give you an update.
Not sure what solved the problem but here is what I did:

    1. Assigning License Administrator and Cloud Device Administrator. (not sure if necessary)
    2. Deactivating the Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator. This lead to a situation where I get only "Dynamics 365 Business Central Premium" license and no "Internal BC Administrator" anymore. (not sure if necessary)

With these roles I was able to grant consent.
