Hi All,

I need to post some payroll journals, but I can't do it in General Journal.

When I post a general journal the debit amount (say in Account) has to be identical to the credit amount (say in Balancing Account).

However payroll journals are not like that - the debits and credits are all different amounts but overall they balance out.

Is there a way of entering multiple line journals that will balance at the end (like the Opening balance journal)

At journal template level you can relax that. Date is the king

Adding to what Josh said. If you keep the same document number on all lines, the journal will balance and post.

Yes. Just entry lines in that style. Leave the balancing account blank for all lines. Add one line to balance everything
