Table SVC30200 vs SVC00200 explaination

 Hi,

What is the difference between svc30200 and svc00200?  They appear to be the same fields but we are missing some records in the svc00200 table that they say should be found.  We found in svc30200 but for todays transactions we do not see them yet in svc30200.  Anyone have an ideas what the difference is between these?

Is there a document that explains each table?

Thanks, but what does that mean?  When/how do they sync up or don't they?  If we need to report all info, how do you do it?  Do I have to do some kind of UNION statement?

    Hi,

if you need all info from these two tables yes you need to link these tables. have you tried to use smartlist builder?

Ok, so do you know if there are duplicate records between these two tables?

    Hi,

as earlier mentioned 00 are master tables therefore this should have all the existing records while 30 are historical therefore only history can be found here. there will be duplicates, all from 30 can be found in 00 but not all 00 can be found in 30.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Table SVC30200 vs SVC00200 explaination

     Hi,

So, if I wanted to show a report of all records ever created I would use the svc00200 according to your explanation, correct?  When you say the master (svc00200) table has all existing, I take that as everything ever created.  If that is incorrect, and we have records in svc30200 that are not in svc00200, do we have some kind of bug?

Is there a rule on why a record is in svc00200 and not in svc30200?  Are svc30200 are active accounts and then when moved to svc00200 are then set as inactive?

You have provided some good info.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Table SVC30200 vs SVC00200 explaination

first when you create a record it must be in series 00 being a master record, at this point you can not find this in series 30. then you start to post and process transactions until it gets to history, at this time you can find this records in series 00 and 30. this is the standard flow of GP.

now i am not exactly sure how does it work in Service Mgt GP windows as agianst SVC00's and SVC30's tables in the back end. but I assume GP should have use the same standard flow.

    hope this helps

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Table SVC30200 vs SVC00200 explaination

Do you think we have an issue with our GP application if for 4 CALLNBR's I see three of them in the svc30200 and the fourth in svc00200 table?

According to your logic, GP should be showing all four records in svc00200 and three in svc30200.

Example of query to see result:

    select CALLNBR from SVC00200 where CALLNBR in ('0000018531', '0000019021', '0000019212', '0000020554')
    select CALLNBR from SVC30200 where CALLNBR in ('0000018531', '0000019021', '0000019212', '0000020554')

     RESULTS:

    SVC00200
    -----------------
    0000020554

    SVC30200
    -----------------
    0000018531
    0000019021
    0000019212
