Quote items quantity precision

H0181.2012_2D00_12_2D00_13_5F00_151252.png"Quantity" is defined with precision 0. Looking for the solution to this problem, I've found the article that describes to change definition at PriceList item, field "Quantity Selling Option" = "whole", but the problem still exists.
Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks

in the view, the field is displayed without precision:

    Re: Quote items quantity precision

    Hi Maxim,

The Opportunity/Quote/Order/Invoice Product quantity precision is actually partially dependent on the product price list item. Both the quantitysellingcode “Quantity Selling Option” Attribute setting and Decimals Support value from the actual product that is represented by the price list item.

Here are the three 3 scenarios:

    - If “Quantity Selling Option” is set to NoControl then the decimal point will be set to 5.

    - If “Quantity Selling Option” is set to Whole then the decimal point will be set to 0.

    - If “Quantity Selling Option” is set to Whole And Fraction then the decimal point will be set to the Decimals Support value from the actual product that is represented by the price list item.

I suggest you to use “Quantity Selling Option” = Whole And Fraction and define the decimal point with the field "Decimals Support value".

    Re: Quote items quantity precision

Hi Gustavo, thank you for response.
Actually I'd  see this suggestion in google(some forum), but unfortunately, it doesn't help.
When I defined the pricelist item's "Quantity Selling Option”  to Whole, the quantity at Quote product form(field "quantity") still appears with 5 zeroes after point. Please see attached file.

Do you have other ideas? Maybe a precision depends on other criterias?

    Thanks

    Maxim

    Re: Quote items quantity precision

    Hi Maxim,

    This is a strange behavior.

Maybe this product is related to different Price Lists, with different settings.

Always when the “Quantity Selling Option” is set to Whole then the decimal point will be set to 0.

I still suggest you to use “Quantity Selling Option” = "Whole And Fraction". So it's possible to use the option "Decimals Support value". Define the decimal point with one.

    RE: Quote items quantity precision

I'll post both here, and a new post since this one is pretty old. I am having this issue in 2013 CRM on premise. I've attempted everything to remove the decimals from 5 down to 0. After checking everywhere within CRM for a 5 Decimal setting I've located one final item that I can't even edit. The field I believe is causing my issue is the field "Quantity" within the Unit entity. This field is set to 5 decimals default, and has no way of editing to show 0 decimals. Please let me know if this is not the case, and if it is or isn't, then how to fix it without customization, or scripting.

    RE: Quote items quantity precision

    hello Gustavo,

I have tried your suggestion but it does not solve my problem:

A client of us wants the quantity in opportunity products and quotedetails displayed to "0" decimals. I have set the precision to "0" and set the "quantity selling option" in price list items (all active price lists) to "whole" but still the quantity shows 5 decimals when opening a single dataset. Actually it shows now decimals when opening the form but changes to 5 decimals when loading is completed. In list views the numbers are displayed correctly.

Since our customer is selling products by the piece, they don't want (and need) any decimal quantities

    Any suggestions?

    RE: Quote items quantity precision

Resolved by changing the "precision" value of "quantity" field in "Opportunity Product" entity to the number of decimal places I required.

    RE: Quote items quantity precision

I did simply change the precision property of quantity field to 1 or 0 . And it did nicely work!

    I'm on crm 2015 on-premise .
