Creating a workflow to populate contacts & accounts in a marketing list

Hi guys,

I'm planning to create a workflow that I'd run "on demand", to:

1) If there are marketing list members in a marketing list "x", remove them.

2) check which contact and account's credit card is about to expire in the next month and add them to list "x".

What I want to do with this list is send an email to them with Click Dimensions. A dynamic marketing list would probably solve my problems in terms of getting the marketing list members but I can't e-mail to a dynamic marketing list with Click Dimensions.

Can this be done?

I'm a newbie with workflows so would appreciate any help!

You have to write a workflow activity to add members in Marketing list X.

    Hi,

    1) To remove the marketing list members, you can simply click go to the Marketing List Member view and then select all, click Remove. Refer below screenshot:

    2) This can be done by using a workflow but a bit tricky as out of box there is no method to add the record to marketing list. However, you can download & use the Dynamics 365 Utility and use the step "Add to marketing list". You need workflow on Contact entity (and separate workflow for Account entity), add a check condition to verify if Credit card expiry date is greater than the execution time and less than execution time + 1 month. If Yes, then use the Dynamics 365 Workflow Utility to add the member.

    Hope this helps.
