I need to replace a dialog to run it in the background and this decreases the number of clicks.
Try to attach a Ribbon button to the dialog, but I find that the number of clicks does not decrease.
I've thought about replacing the dialog with a workflow but the dialog contains query variables that the workflow does not have.
Any recommendation for this topic?

I have come across similar scenarios in one of the projects I recently worked on.
I had to create these variables as hidden fields on the entity and that worked fine.
And for the scenarios where I had to do a query or count records and stuff like that, I had to create Custom Workflow Activity and use that in the workflow
