We have 10 users using microsoft dynamics crm online.

We have been using for some time .

Since yesterday , all the users outlook cannot connect to CRM online .

In outlook , the track button has disappeared .

Also , I saw the sync with microsoft dynamics crm button is greyed out .

I tried uninstall and reinstall the crm client .

I tried to do the configure the microsoft dynamics crm for outlook wizard again but not successful.

Two errors are showing :-

1) There is a problem communicating with the microsoft dynamics crm server

2) Cannot connect to microsoft dynamics crm server because we cannot authenticate your credentials.

Now all stations outlook cannot connect to microsoft dynamics crm .

However , we can still get into CRM via internet explorer .

This does not help , we need to connect through outlook to sync all the visits , letters etc.,

Thanks

David

    Hi David,

Microsoft has released a troubleshooting wizard to help you help yourself resolve errors configuring the Dynamics CRM Outlook Client. Below link may help you.

CRM Online includes support from the Microsoft CRM Online support team, so if you are having trouble accessing your organization using CRM for Outlook, I would contact Microsoft directly.

    Hi Neil ,

Unfortunately when I contacted microsoft , they told me that there is only paid support .

Else , rely on help from the forums .

CRM online subscription does not have support , all support is paid for by another contract .

We only have crm online , nothing else , so no support .

Can you tell me where to ask for free support ?.

    Thanks

    David

Support is included with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service. You can verify it on the CRM website: crm.dynamics.com/on-demand.

When you signed up for CRM Online you will have received a welcome email including a link to CustomerSource, the customer support extranet for Microsoft Dynamics customers. (www.microsoft.com/.../default.aspx).

When you log in to CustomerSource you'll see your customer account number and options for contacting Microsoft support.

In the meantime, I would try uninstalling CRM for Outlook and reinstalling and reconfiguring it, or just reconfiguring it and see if that helps.

    Hi David,

Just checking if you are still facing the issue?

You are eligible for support and you can open cases with Dynamics CRM Online Support.

For CRM Online firewall might also be blocking the webservices which will cause that message. The way to test this is to log into CRM -> Go to Settings -> Go to Customizations. Then Click on Developer Resources.

Click on each of the Web Services. If it fails then you know its a firewall problem and not a CRM problem.

    dev.crm.dynamics.com/.../Discovery.svc

    xxx.api.crm.dynamics.com/.../Organization.svc

    xxx.crm.dynamics.com/.../OrganizationData.svc

This might also be helpful for you if this is a problem due to the failure of authentication. When you click on view log you will be able to see the exact problem its encountering.
