Does anyone here use forecast functionnalities in D365 SCM? in my company, we are looking for some demos to understand if these features can help us anticipating Stock and Production Needs. Thank you

    Yes, we currently use the demand forecasting and we are in the process of implementing the demand planning app. 
     
    Here is a link to a quick demo of the demand planning app. You could skip to about the 12 minute mark for when they start discussing the demand planning app specifically.

    I was involved with a company that uses demand forecast lines as input for Master Planning.
     
    Here are a few links:
     
     
    This company uses two master plans:
    • One that includes the forecast
    • One that excludes the forecast

    Do you have any specific scenarios you are looking to see covered? There are several modular pieces of functionality to support planning and forecasting. D365 Master planning and Planning optimization can consume and use forecasts as inputs of demand to feed planned order creation. There is a Demand forecasting module within Master planning that leverages statistical forecast models and Azure machine learning service, then there is also the Demand planning app that others mentioned below.
