Upgrade Dataverse Integration Solution

Currently, our production environment is on Solution Version of 16 of the Dataverse integration solution to D365 CRM.  I would like to update the integration solution to the latest version that includes the Item Availablity functionality.  I am attempting to go through the steps of: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-upgrade-sales-to-cds  Since, we are already actively using the Dataverse connection I don't wany any records to become uncoupled.  There is a message when you disable the Dataverse connection setup that "If you will re-enable the integration later, you must remove all couplings before you disable the integration. Do you want to continue anyway?"

1. Do I need to be concerned with this message, or can I proceed with the steps outlined in the article?

2. Has anyone else completed this and are the steps in the article the proper way to perform this update?

Thank you!

    Hello,

I was as surprised about the message above, so I disabled the integration on a 17.1 version. The  message is:

You are about to disable integration with Common Data Service, but many records remain coupled. Please remove all couplings before you disable the integration, unless you are not going to re-enable it later.

That said, there is no need to remove couplings if you are going to enable it again later (after upgrade).

Hope it helps and good luck with upgrade.

    Thanks.

    Hi Marco,

Thank you for the reply.  I'm going through the steps in a Sandbox environment and upon redeploy integration solution, the following message is given: "The deployment of the solution, user roles, and entities failed."  Have you seen this before?

    Hello,

Are you doing these steps via Assisted Setup?

    Thanks.

Marco Mels  - In v21, the code is still warning about removing couplings if you ARE going to enable it later.

    CDSConnectionSetup.Page.al

    page 7200 "CDS Connection Setup"
    DisableIntegrationQst: Label 'You are about to disable your integration with Dataverse, but some records are still coupled. If you will re-enable the integration later, you must remove all couplings before you disable the integration.\\Do you want to continue anyway?';
Is this just an incorrectly worded warning?
I have gone through the code using the debugger and I see no reason why we should remove our couplings, but it's been 1.5 years since your above post, and the warning persists.
