GP 2015R2 - Feeding demand from 3rd party feeder system into GP to affect "allocated" for Reorder Point

Fairly new user (and poster) here.

Our GP 2015R2 environment does not use manufacturing - we are using a 3rd party system for this.

Our planning people inform us that demand from the 3rd party system does not feed over to GP.  We use the Reorder point process extensively and since we have no visibility to this 3rd party demand running reorder point processing is incomplete.

I can identify (via sql) a list of sku's in the 3rd party system and total demand by location, sku and need by date.  I'm looking for a way to load this data into GP periodically so that our planning users can see a complete list of demand.

Currently we have developed some Smartlists to work around this issue but they only provide a report - they don't feed the Reorder Point process automatically.

Has anyone developed a process to handle this?  Is there documentation I can review?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello Steve,

I am not sure how your 3rd party Mfg system is inegrated with GP for Inventory.   I hope it is taking raw-bom Item Inventory from GP and  Finished Goods pushed back in GP?

Please email me at : sandipdjadhav@hotmail.com so we can discuss in brief.

    Thanks much

yes, the 3rd party software integrates inventory transactions.  It just doesn't appear to feed demand over to GP ahead of the actual issuing of inventory.

    Hello Steve,

Have you seen BatchMaster Manufacturing application with Dynamics GP?  Your kind of Chemical Industry BatchMaster will be best fit.  Please let me know I will ask my sales team to contact you.

    Thanks much
