Retail serial number in barcode scanning

Hi All,

I have some products with tracking dimension of serial number.

When I scan its barcode in MPOS retail, the system ask me to enter the serial number

So, I want to know how can i config the barcode setup to cover this issue?

    Hello Danial,

    While receiving or registering the product, make sure you register the exact serial numbers, then you may scan it or enter it manually on that field. *If not, you may face a complicated issues while posting statements due to stock availability*

    If serial numbers were entered randomly or by a number of sequences while receiving/registering, it's better to print it on all serialized products while receiving or registering the products, so it would be easier to handle by MPOS.

    If you are looking at adding a product to the cart and identifying the serial number from a single scan of the barcode, this is not available OOB. For most of the products, the standard process manufacturers follow is to have an EAN barcode for product identification and a serial number printed as a barcode for easier data entry. The serial number can be easily scanned into the field (in your screenshot) OOB.

    My recommendation based on past experience, enable serial number ONLY IF it is absolutely required.
