Completing a purchase order, that's delivered short

Let's say I order 100 units, and the supplier delivers 99.

I receipt and post the 99 into stock, this now shows I have 1 outstanding.

If I agree with the vendor that the final 1 is no longer required

What is the best method, to complete the purchase order, if I leave the 1 it shows the order is outstanding

    Hi

    We just go back to purchase order and reduce the Order QTY to 99. But we take a note in purchase order.

    Tom,

    You have 2 options:

    1. Delete the PO as long as its been Post Invoiced

    2. Reduce the Quantity to 99

    Note you can turn on Archive which will track all changes to a Purchase Order and you can see the past changes.

    I like Option 2, don't believe we should encourage to delete.

    Do you have any suggestions on where to look ref archive?
