Package functionality with InsightWorks WMS

Hello,

Please i want to know if anyone has an experience of using the standard package tracking functionality(alongside Lot No) with Insightworks WMS on the handheld devices?

We will like to use the package tracking functionality as a way of managing pallet numbers. When we receive items, we will like to assign lot numbers and package nos right from the device.

(Example: LOT1, Package1: 100 items, LOT1 Package2:100items etc)

We want to generate bar codes for pallets(packages)

When we ship we want to create picks and scan based on pallets(packages)

I have installed the advanced WMS insightworks v2.12 but cannot seem to assign package numbers on the hand held device.

InsightWorks WMS is not a standard feature of BC, I recommend that you contact this partner directly for assistance.

While on a Pick, go to the Menu (top left corner) and select Start License Plate. You then scan your Items/Lots being Picked. When your pallet(package) is complete, you close the license plate. This builds a License Plate record associated with the Pick defining what is inside it. This will show up in your Dynamic Ship Packaging Worksheet, if you are also using their shipping solution. Otherwise, it would update the Sales Order/Warehouse Shipment with what has been shipped/picked.

If the "Start License Plate" isn't in your menu, you can use their menu designer to enable that option.

this is a question for insight works which is an ISV, and would be best addressed by their support team. If you are using the Warehouse Insight, you could either manually create license plate in BC and assign a LP no. to items when handling items or let the app auto create one for you via scanner. There is more detailed instructions of their knowledge base. A recommendation is to handle items on a LP as a whole pallet. If user breaks a pallet, as the app allows it, they might not be handling correctly and causing issues during the process.

Thanks all for your response,

To solve my issue, i upgraded warehouse insight to their latest version(V.2.12) which includes standard BC package no traceability.

It works fine.
