Business Process Flow - set a stage active / skip to the next and lock the previous

Dear all,

I guess I´m facing an easy issue but can´t solve it by myself.

I have a BPF with 7 stages and some if/then conditions.

My first stage is such a condition where I only have one required field to split my BPF in two different ways.

When I click on next stage:

- the previous one will be still editable

- the flag still appears in the previous one

- I cannot select the current stage as active - it´s just grey...

Anyone knows why is it?

Thanks

Patrick

On the recent update it is fixed right now (8.2 in Dynamics 365)

    Update:

I deactivated all workflows on my custom entity, tried to get to the next stage. The new stage is active --> everything is fine. But if I try to activate all the WFs again I can´t switch anymore to the new stage. So it seems those workflows still affect my BPF. I have around 15 workflows running. 10 out of 15 have some waiting conditions included. Somebody mentioned to change all the WFs to realtime but that isn´t possible if you have a waiting condition included.

    Any Workarounds/ideas available for this?

This is how my BPF looks like. I got two conditions.

First condition is dependent on a Option field in the first stage.

Second condition is dependent on a field in the second stage. (between both conditions fields)

Did you see my last post on the possible bug and workaround?

    Hi Drew & Shaubaaz,

the only one field in my first stage is a two options field which is required.

If I set this field to "yes", then the BPF collapses because there are some additional stages to do. If I set this field to "No" the BPF keeps as standard. In both cases I can click "next stage" - the new phase appears as the deeper green phase but the flag doesnt move to the new phase. And I still cannot click on set active :(

I´m currently looking at my BPC but can´t identify any wrong logic.

    Thanks,

    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

Looks like Microsoft might be working on a bug with this.  The article here talks about deactivating and re-activating to temporarily fix.  Hopefully this helps.

    Hi Patrick,

Do you have any required field on the first stage of BPF, if yes you have to fill the value for that field and then you can move to the next stage with active flage on that.

    Thanks,

    Shahbaaz

If you look at my screenshot on the right hand bottom there is a grey word with the flag called "Auf Aktiv....." That´s the "Set Active" you are looking for. But I cannot click on it. And if I go to the next stage it doesn´t change to active automatically.

Are you able to click on "Set Active" on the process flow for that step and does that change the flag?  I know this is another language that I don't understand.

    Thanks,
