Dynamics GP 2015 and GL Edit List - No Error Message displayed

I have a curious problem I've not seen before and don't know how to resolve.

We upgraded to Dynamics GP 2015 (RTM + Hotfix) from GP 2010 (SP4) last week and everything went smooth and successful with the upgrade.   Today, it was brought to my attention a user posted three journal entries (1 marked for the previous year - 2014, and 2 for the current year (April and June - 2015)) where those particular periods were all closed in Fiscal Periods.   Normally, if they run the edit list after saving a batch, the edit list should display a warning message it cannot post to a closed period.   I was able to recreate this in the test environment.

I've verified:

  1. Fiscal Periods are setup correctly (they are)
  2. General Ledger (Tools>> Setup >> Financial >> General Ledger) is setup correctly - specifically Maintaining History and Allow Posting to History
  3. There is not a modified form in place - we do have a modified General Transaction Edit List modification but I did all my testing with the standard Microsoft Dynamics GP report.

We're also using Binary Stream's MEM product and I thought something might have changed with their update for GP 2015 but I can't find anything different between what was setup in GP 2010 versus 2015.

Has anyone else seen this in GP 2015?   Or any ideas where I should look?

Thanks,

Sean
