Send email on behalf for Outlook plugin user

V. 2013 - on premise. We want to be able send emails on behalf of two users who use the Outlook plugin. What I've read is that the user needs to have their CRM mailbox set to either Forward mailbox or server side sync for the user to have the option to allow the email sent on their behalf. What happens if I change the Outlook user's mailbox? Is there another option? Thanks.

    Hi,

I'm not 100% sure, but, I think, it should work with Outlook client. At least I don't seem to remember that "allow sending .. on your behalf" option would be disabled depending on the other email settings.

This thread seems to confirm it:

      community.dynamics.com/.../162488

Except that, as it's mentioned in that thread, Outlook should be running for those users "on behalf" of whom you'll be sending the emails.

The emails sit as pending send and the senders are logged into Outlook. They both use the plug-in and send and track emails all the time.

    I found here

    heidster12.wordpress.com/.../this-message-has-not-yet-been-submitted-for-delivery

that there is an option in the Outlook client to enable Allow other user to send on my behalf. One person has this option but the two people who want the emails to come from don't have that option in their Outlook.

OK - we have it working. I thought both users were Outlook but only one was. So the Outlook user set the Allow other users in Outlook. The Web user, I changed her mailbox and then she could set Allow other users in the web version. Now it all works.
