Hi:

In Business Central, is it possible to conduct pricing based on profit margin and do so dynamically as the cost of that inventoried item changes?

No customization needed. There is a field on the Item Card called "Price/Profit Calculation". Changing the setting to Price = Cost + Profit will get you the result you want.

If you use Standard Costing, the Price will be fixed after each standard cost rollup.

If you use FIFO costing, the Unit Price will be dynamic based on the calculated Average cost of your On-Hand Inventory, which is what the "Unit Cost" field displays. If you receive and invoice at a cost greater than your existing Unit Cost, the Unit Cost will go up, and the Unit Price will also go up.
