Hi Hany,
I would like to know if you could provide me with the Specs of the computer/Server that you are using for your HQ server. In most cases with HQ there can be issues involved with SQL Server not being able to handle the size of the HQ Database.
For example is you are using SQL Server 2012 Express - It can only properly handle a size of a database 1Gig or less. Now it has the ability to handle a larger database but not properly nor efficiently.
If you want we can review what you are currently using and help determine if you are in need of New server or just newer licence of Full SQL server 2012.
Plus you even have the option to host your HQ server with RITE Enterprises Inc. So that you don't have to worry about future upgrades of hardware or any down time of your system. If you are interested in this option r have any questions please let me know.
You can reach me at HarveyM@RITE.us. Thanks i hope that you find the answer you need here.
Hello Hany Safwat,
Whenever you are experiencing disconnection issues with HQ Client and HQ Server in RMS generally you would want to configure your 80 stores to connect at different times of the day with HQ Client. This will help reduce the strain of RAM needed to be used on any operating system. Please attempt do the following as this may help your issue:
Note: You must be in Maintenance Mode to make these changes.
1. Open Headquarters Manager.
2. In HQ Manager select the "Admin" tab
3. In this tab select "Stores"
4. Once the tab opens you will see every store that you are having connect to HQ through the HQ Client.
5. Select any of your stores and click on "Properties".
6. In the properties tab open the "Connection Schedule" tab.
7. In this tab you should have every store connect about 5-10 mins apart in the "Connection Minutes" tab. This will drastically reduce the strain on HQ Client and HQ Server for needing to use more RAM from the operating system.
Sometimes when customers have a lot of stores connecting through HQ Client they do not change the schedule times on when they are needed to connect and what happens is HQ Client becomes unresponsive because it is trying to process so much data from so many stores at the same time that it becomes nearly impossible to do.
I hope you can apply these changes and they assist with your issue.
