GP is configured to use MAPI. User has a valid Outlook profile. When attempting to email a document from GP the user gets an error. The same error appears for multiple recipients.

    Phil,

Hopefully you're not still experiencing this issue but based on the error, it appears to be more with Outlook and/or Exchange, whichever is actually being used for email functionality than anything with Dynamics GP.

With Dynamics GP 2013, if using 32-bit Office/Outlook, the Server Type in the System Preferences window can be set to either MAPI or Exchange.

If you're using 64-bit Office/Outlook, the Server Type in the System Preferences window must be set to Exchange.

In both cases, when you have Exchange selected, when you choose to Send To, then choose Mail Recipient(Text), it will give you an Exchange window where you'll be asked for user credentials to access.

The MAPI setting will just bring up a regular Outlook email window.

A default Mail profile needs to be setup also on each machine where users are attempting to access the email functionality in Dynamics GP 2013.

If the issue was with Dynamics GP, it wouldn't make it far enough to give the message that the message could not be sent.

Are you able to send regular emails to the same email address for this 'Fred Smith' user ID that is mentioned in the error message?

    Thanks
