This is the opposite to what most people are reporting, at least from what I have been able to find. Recently some of our users have been prompted to enter logon information when accessing CRM 4.0. On those computers if I remove the url http://dsicrm from the Trusted Sites, the problem goes away. Unfortunately we need this url added to trusted sites for one of our 3rd party add-on products. The problem is specific to the computer and user envrionment. A person with this problem can log into my computer and run crm with out this issue. Likewise, I can log into their computer and run crm without this issue.
