Dear Microsoft,
As always, thank you for literally [edited by moderator] us over with another unwanted release update, which is pushed to users, instead of giving us options to bypass it. This sure will be a nice cost for us.

Merry future Christmas,

This a community forum, where you can talk to other users. If you want to contact Microsoft, you'll need another channel, such as creating a support ticket.
If you want to discuss your experience with this community, please tell us which D365 product you're talking about, so we can put the thread to the right forum.

    Hey,

can you give us more insights about the struggle you have? I mean, you arent forced to do any updates, except ProActive Updates if you mean that. The "worst" thing that may happen is that you are out of support, which I dont think is really an issue.

If your environment was updated automatically, then you havent stopped the auto updates.

    Kind regards, Adis

I think @Smartguy101 is talking about the recent Wave2-2025 deployment, which was recently enforced, and frustration comes because this is done whether you like it or not, and typically after that, there might be customizations that don't work or there are small changes into the product (for example, with more AI) that changes a form and then end-users typically complain about this.

However, there are a couple things that can be done to prevent this:  The waves packages are typically available 2 months before deployment with documentation available 3 months before.  With this, you should for example, start testing functionality (and form changes as well as compatibility with your custom code) by the midst of February (wave1 is deployed starting April) and Midst of August (Wave2 is deployed starting October).

Also, a good option would be to create an environment in Station 2 (South America, Canada, India, France, South AFrica, Germany, Switzerland,Norway,Korea) that will give you another couple of weeks before the changes arrive to UK/EMEA/US/APAC.

    Regards
