Goal targets not updating via import

Hi all,

I've found a bit of strange issue. I'm trying to bulk update goal targets via an XLSX import with the goal GUIDS populated, the import runs successfully however the  that actual target values remain as is. Its like its ignoring the target value completely. This is on 2015 on prem. Has anyone experienced the same issue or has a solve? We currently work around this by deleting the old goals and reimporting the entire stack, however this is not an ideal method to explain to the client.

Chatting to MS directly has not been useful so far as according to them the method I am using is correct

I wish I could offer an answer but at least I'm not the only one experiencing the issue. I'm guessing the only fix would be to deactivate the current goals and redo the original upload with new values. I've got 481 to update so that's the route I'll be taking.

Use the Target (Money), Target (Integer) or Target (Decimal) fields, not the plain Target field when uploading

    Hi Jladan,

save your excel file as csv with utf-8 encoding, then upload it.

Doing so, you avoid all the possible problems deriving from excel formats / locale formats.

Please let me know if you solve.
