Permission issue for Team Member

Hi All,

We just had gone live with Business Central Cloud. we have both Premium and Team member licenses, as per Licensing guide the team member user can approve the workflow.

But team member user not able to approve the request, as it is looking for permission Warehouse Request Insert. I tried to give permission to the user directly to the table, but still in effective permission for the user shows the Warehouse request insert as "(Yes)" instead of "Yes". does any one knows how to set the permission.

    Good morning,

    The expected behavior as a Team Member can approve/reject tasks in all workflows assigned to a user .

    If there is any extension involved in the customer's scenario, please disable this and try the scenario without any extension involved.

    Was customer user D365 BC License recently changed ?

    Also, please share with us following technical details :

    o AAD id,

    o Environment ( Prod/Sandbox)

    o Share environment URL

    o User reporting scenario including domain name

    o Is this user logged as Delegated Admin ( CSP user) or as customer user ?

    o Date and time of when the issue happened (please remember to write time zone),

    o Indicating/share error/warning ( please run a new repro ).

    Hi Horia,

    thank you for the information. i just get you those information quickly possible.

    meanwhile, we had updated some mandatory fields in the Sales Header as an extension. i guess the data flows from sales header to warehouse tables which is looking for permission. anyway will try to remove the extension or mandatory field and update you.

    we tried to remove the extensions, but still was not able to do.

    o Environment ( Prod/Sandbox) - Production

    o Share environment URL - businesscentral.dynamics.com/.../

    o User reporting scenario including domain name : User is trying to approve the Sales Order --> we have activated the Warehouse ship so its creating a warehouse shipment which is not allowing.

    o Is this user logged as Delegated Admin ( CSP user) or as customer user ? Customer user

    o Date and time of when the issue happened (please remember to write time zone), 29th jan 2020 - Mexican time 10:30 AM

    as the license guide says, team members cannot insert new records, only update existing records. in your case it seems that your worklow wants to create a record. so use an essential user license instead or change your process and workflow. would work with standard inventory processes without picking/putaways.

    Hi Franz Kalchmair,

    further we were digging this, we had created a new production Cronus environment

    and we were trying to reproduce the same.

    Created a new Location, enabled the Require Receive and Require Ship.

    Workflow created for Sales Order Approval --> Direct approver (Team Member license user)

    created a Sales Order

    Used the newly created location

    request for an approval

    Approval request got created

    the Team Member user login to approve the request.

    While clicking approve --> it throws an error Warehouse request Insert permission issue.

    is there any way or any suggestion to achieve this please?

    we have both Premium user and Team Member user license.

    The approvers doesnt do any other activity then approving the request, with this intention we dont want to provide them the Premium access. so please suggest

    I believe the issue is when the Team Member approves the order, it will automatically create Warehouse Shipment or Warehouse Receipt document.

    Can you disable the automatic creation of Warehouse document ? Your user will need to create the Warehouse documents manually though.

    It's been a while since I work with it, but if I'm not mistaken, there is no setup for it.

    If you use advance warehouse, when you release the sales document, it will just automatically create the warehouse document.

    You will need to create extension to modify the standard behavior.
