Set user to non-interactive does not work

Hi,

I want to create a non-interactive user and I perform these steps:

1) Give user a CRM license

2) Wait for user to sync to CRM

3) Give user a systemadmin role

4) With another user set the user "Access Mode" to "Non-Interactive" and save.

5) Remove the CRM license

What happens is that the user that was set to "Non-Interactive" is changed back to "Administrative".

I have tried this on multiple environments and this keeps happening.
Am I doing something wrong? :)

Thank you in advance for you help?

Kind regards,

Michiel

    Hi

I hope you need the non-interactive user for integration then you can go with Head less accounts.

you can go through the link for more information

    Hi,

The non-interactive user would be useful for third parties, integrating into CRM (webdevelopers, custom .NET tools).

In short, a user that doesn't consume a CRM license, cannot log in to the front-end of CRM, but can create records from a webservice or a local tool.

Preferrably, a user that we can also disable from our end.

There's some tutorials on how to achieve this (like Michiel's steps), but they fail to mention that as soon as you disable the D365 CE license in the O365 portal, the user in CRM is switch from "non-interactive" to "administrative". That of course, defeats the whole process for creating a non-interactive user.

I had the same problem on one user i could change on two other users but not on the one. The problem was that the user had a tenant admin role.... after removing this role it stopped changing to administrative ;)
