Business Rule does not apply to all users

Hi,

I've created a business rule to lock certain fields after an entity is saved/created ('Created On' contains data). It works for me when I test it, but not for other users. I've tried different scopes and I've also checked that the standard Security Role is set to 'Read' for the Process under the Customization tab. Users who have this Security Role still do not see the Business Rule firing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

Do you have multiple forms for the entity and if the users are accessing different forms based on security roles enabled,  even if you set the scope to all forms, the rule will not trigger if the fields that used in the condition not on the form.

Please make sure all the forms have all the fields necessary for the Business Rule. A business rule will not trigger if all the fields that involve in the conditions are not present on the form (hidden/visible)

Check if all fields are on the entity form

If you are encountering issues with your Business Rules, it makes sense to check if all the fields involved in the conditions are present and published on the entity form. This may happen in a scenario where you are hiding a supporting field that shouldn’t necessarily be displayed to the user

Thank you for your response. I've checked all fields in the Business Rule and they are on the form. All users have security access to the main form which is the one form all users use. We only have Main, Mobile and Quick View form types for this entity.

The Business Rule does work when I run it.

    Thank you

Does any of the field involved in the BR has Field Security enabled? if so do all the users have at least read access if the any of the FSP enable field used in BR conditions

    Hello,

Try to desactivate the BR and reactivate it.

This sounds like it might be the issue. I will let you know after I have a chance to test it.

    Thank you,

Confirmed. Added all users to 'Read' field security role for the field related to the Business Rule.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I was reading your post about a similar issue I am facing. The business rule is not working for some users. But your solution was to apply the business rule to all users. Can you please help me to understand how to apply this?

    Regards

    Satya
