Assigning manager from different business unit

I have a user whose manager I want to change to someone who is in another business unit. Is this possible? I currently get this error:

This user is not a member of the manager's business organization

    Hi,

     I believe the manager is supposed to be in either the same Business Unit as the user or in one of the parent business units. If it's not the case, you'll be getting that error.

     Can't you move the user to that other business unit as well?
