Use TypeScript with a Dynamics CRM 2013 Package

Hi,

I am able to create and deploy JavaScript files as webresources to Dynamics CRM through a Visual Studio package of type Dynamics CRM 2013 package. Is it possible to use TypeScript here? I cannot add any TypeScript file to the project via right click - add - new item...

    Hi Kai,

    you can add any javascript file as web resource. Otherwise first create a blank javascript file and then update type script there.

    thank you for the info. But how would Visual Studio know to compile the TypeScript to JavaScript?

    Hi Sandeep, thanks for the hints.

    I had to do some additional stuff to get it to work, though. I created a 'Dynamics CRM 2013 Package' (needs the Microsoft CRM Developer Toolkit) in Visual Studio, and after installing TypeScript, added another project of type 'HTML Application with TypeScript' to the solution.

    Afterwards I added a post build action to this project, which copies the compiled JavaScript files to the Dynamics project. After adding these files there everything works fine.
