We are still running CRM2011 on premise - hopefully for not too much longer. Anyway we have a question regarding security patches and rollups. Does Microsoft include security patches for CRM in the rollups or if security patches for CRM2011 exist, are they distributed separately?
I am aware that CRM2011 is out of standard support now and that no additional rollups will be made available (RU18 being the last.) So if there was a potential security patches needed for CRM, how would this be alerted / distributed?
Are all the security related issues and patches covered in other OS, .Net, browser etc type patches? Therefore, if we ensure the app server, database server and clients are patched up to date, then we have applied all available security related patches?
